WHAT WE DO

At Derive, we pride ourselves on our strict adherence to the Project Management Body of Knowledge’s (PMBOK) collection of procedures, techniques, and practices for all of our projects. This helps ensure that every client receives carefully curated deliverables and metrics tailored just to them. All projects are meticulously planned out in advance–then we dive into the details with clients – examining deliverables, task dependencies, metrics and prerequisites – before delivery commitments are made.

Our PMs are critical to the success of any Derive IT project, ensuring everything executes smoothly and on-schedule. They thoughtfully manage strategic planning, maintain open lines of communication with team members at all times, mitigate risks quickly and efficiently, and effectively resolve issues or implement change orders when necessary.

Derive’s PMs deliver seamless client engagements, leveraging full access to deep libraries of internal and partner (e.g., Cisco, Dell, HPE, and many others) resources for expert advice and guidance to surmount logistical issues. Each project milestone is completed according to its unique timeline and allocated budget.

Derive’s PM responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Project kickoff meetings
  • Ensuring full compliance with a client’s preferred communications method (i.e., formal project plan, weekly status meetings, etc.)
  • Client status reporting and meeting minute reporting
  • Risk management and mitigation
  • Coordination of all required Derive and customer project resources
  • Handling of all required project and issue escalations
  • Efficient processing of all required project change orders
  • Certifying all project deliverables and documentation are successfully completed
  • Project completion sign-off; project closure meeting and “lessons learned” discussion with the client

OUTCOMES

For each project, Derive PMs concentrate on ensuring the following global objectives:

  • Full client satisfaction, including C-suite executives, technical engineers, and everyone our PMs engage with
  • All stakeholders have a complete understanding of overall project goals, scope, objectives, and project success criteria
  • Completion of project timelines on-schedule, or as close to on-schedule as reasonably possible given any unforeseen circumstances or changes in project scope
  • Effective communication between teams and the project’s executive sponsors, with open and direct lines of communication available at all times
  • Project escalations and action items are addressed in a timely and professional manner
  • Successful project completion, on-time and on-budget

Don’t Settle. Demand Derive.
