Job Description:

  • The Senior Solution Sales Executive is accountable for the revenue growth and customer satisfaction for an account or a group of accounts within a geographic region.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting to identify new sales opportunities.
     
  • Qualifying and making presentations to potential customers.
     
  • Proposing and closing opportunities for solutions.
     
  • Cross selling and up selling the product suite into existing accounts.
     
  • Setting and managing customer expectations throughout the lifecycle of the account.
     
  • Maintaining the highest levels of personal & professional behavior in the work place.
     

Position Objectives:

  • Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets.
     
  • Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded.
     

Essential Duties:

  • Identify and capture revenue opportunities for the targeted managed service or solution.
     
  • Independently establish and grow new or existing client base.
     
  • Communicate effectively with peers, superiors and other company personnel.
     
  • Identify, understand and solve any obstacles or objections to the successful sale of company services.
     

Required Skills/Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 year college) or equivalent experience required (MBA preferred).
     
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in selling large deals to executives and senior management in Global 2500 and larger mid-size companies.
     
  • Background in IT infrastructure or integration companies or direct experience with:
    • Professional service providers
    • Hardware (e.g. HP)
    • Software (e.g. Microsoft, Citrix)
    • Virtualization (e.g. VMware)
    • Security (e.g. Symantec, Cisco)
    • IT consulting (e.g. Capgemini, IBM Global Services)
    • System integrators.
       
  • Demonstrated success in applying consultative selling techniques to opportunities with extensive Sales Training.
     
  • Proven track record in a “team oriented” selling environment, including the ability to act as the team’s quarterback when developing complex solutions.
     
  • Proven and verifiable track record in exceeding sales quotas.
     
  • Proven sales track record in New York Metropolitan Area geographic market (needs to have worked extensively in the region).
     
  • Excellent communication skills.
     
  • High energy and drive.

  • Advanced knowledge of Derive's offerings, products and services.
     
  • Extensive knowledge of Channel sales environment.
