John Wood has been Derive Technologies’ Vice President of Marketing and Business Development since 2000.
Mr. Wood leads Derive’s marketing and branding initiatives, and drives the strategic and financial direction of Derive's channel alliances. He also directs the company’s demand generation and digital efforts, and manages all major client and partner events.
Mr. Wood has more than two decades of experience as a technology executive, having served in various top executive roles in sales, marketing, engineering and operations. Prior to Derive, he was Vice President of Business Development for a predecessor of the company that was acquired by MicroAge, Inc. (a Fortune 500 company).
Mr. Wood was educated in Long Island, New York. He holds advanced certifications from Derive’s strategic alliance partners, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP, Inc., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Citrix, and others, as well from the IBM Management Association.
